The Office of the Nebraska Capitol Commission staff works continuously to care for the Nebraska State Capitol. Whether overseeing building-wide projects such as the restoration of the exterior limestone facade, or projects specific to one room in the Capitol, OCC’s highly skilled and trained staff maintain the Capitol in as original condition as possible. When completed in 1932 the building was one of the finest architectural achievements of the 20th century and remains a masterpiece of art and architecture.

One of the most important tasks of the Capitol Commission staff is keeping the Capitol clean. Preventing and removing the accumulation of soiling on the Capitol’s surfaces goes a long way toward the long-term preservation of the building.
